How many products or services will you be targeting? We all have a million ideas but without getting focused on one product or service, we may not attract anyone. Look at the big boys in the retail game, when they advertise they are usually pushing one product or at least one theme for a sale.

| What’s in a Name ? |
How many of you have enjoyed a Crock Shake or a Crock Sandwich? What image do you have in your head when you hear the word “Budget”? These are two examples of how names can identify you and your product. McDonald's founder Ray Crock knew that not to many people would buy a crock of anything except maybe butter, so he kept the name of the first restaurant that he bought, McDonald’s is now a world known name. I wonder if “Crock’s” would have made it? Budget car rental broke into the very competitive car rental agency using their name to give the image of an agency that would fit your “Budget”.

| Building a site that sells |
We often get asked the question, “I have a website and my website statistics tell me I get visitors but I am not making any sales, what’s wrong?”. Believe it or not this question not only applies to websites but stores and kiosks as well. There is a multi-billion dollar industry that supports the retail store industry trying to improve the visitor to sales ratio.
We can take several good points from the brick and mortar retail industry and apply it to websites.

How many of you remember the old television commercial that made the line “I told two friends” famous? Well believe it or not, that is one of the most successful ways for small businesses to market: word of mouth referrals. If everyone you know tells two people about your service and they tell two people and so on and so on, the growth is expediential. Let's have a look and see the math, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, Wow!... after 10 times 512 people have heard about your product.
